Obituary of Maria Martinez

Maria Martinez of Davenport, Florida passed away on March 21st, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  

Maria Martinez was born to Parents Maria Muñoz and Nito Tavarez From Valencia, Spain on December 3rd, 1938 in Janico, Dominican Republic. In quest of a better future, after making there home in Europe, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico Maria and her husband Jaime Rosario Immigrated  to New York in 1983 with their two children, Lucy and Jose. 

Maria was well recognized for her exquisite garment designs and expertise as a professional seamstress. She adored cooking for her loved ones and traveling. Maria was a powerful woman who based her identity in God. She anchored herself with her faith in God. A faith she Instilled in her family like a seed planted to grow a beautiful tree. Maria poured her heart in to always making sure her family had the best possible future. Maria was a beautiful soul who had immense love in her heart and made sure to share it with everyone around her. 

She was predeceased by her husband Jaime Rosario. Maria is survived by her two children Lucy Rosario and Jose Rosario, Her Step Child Jaime Rosario, Her Grandchildren Catherine, Jennifer, Dania, Alexander, Lisa, and Job, and Her Great Grandchildren Emma, Weston, Lucas, Esther, and Zoey. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 2:00 pm. The family will be receiving family and friends at 1:00 pm all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, FL.
