Obituary of Linda Carman

Linda Carman of Davenport, Florida passed away at her residence on November 17, 2022. She was 71 years old.

She was born on April 10, 1951, in Queens, New York to Edward and Mary Avery Held and moved to Davenport in 2012 from Lawrenceville, Georgia. Linda was a registered nurse working for some 20 years. She was a member of Elmhurst First Baptist Church during her time in New York and after her move to Davenport she attended First Baptist Church of Davenport.  She was involved with Sharing Stitches, an organization that volunteers their time and donates crocheted and knit items to local hospitals, like baby hats and blankets for newborns and plush animals for the police department. The family remembers that she loved to travel, either with just her husband or the whole family, they made memories that stayed with them till today.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Mary, as well as her husband, Bob Carman. Linda is survived by her son, Michael Carman and his wife, Kelly; daughter, Katherine L. Carman; siblings, Susan Barckow, James Held, Peter Held and her granddaughter, Ridgeley Carman.

A visitation will be Monday, November 21, 2022, from 10 am until the funeral at 11 am, all at First Baptist Church of Davenport. Memorials and donations may be made to Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies at Donate to Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies or to AdventHealth Heart of Florida.
