Obituary of Grady "Papa" Pugh

Grady "Papa" Pugh, 83, of Dundee, Florida passed away on November 7, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 20, 1939 in Arkadelphia, Alabama to James Rufus and Cora Angeline Hunt Pugh. Grady proudly served our country in the United States Army for two years as a Private First Class. He moved to Florida in 1981 from Birmingham, Alabama, he was the owner of Chain of Lakes Bait & Tackle for sixteen years,retiring in 1997 and he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Florida.

Grady had a passion for riding motorcycles and he truly loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will forever be remembered as a hard working man.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fay Pugh; son, Jeffrey Dale Pugh; and thirteen siblings. Grady leaves behind to cherish his memory his two daughters, Regina Hulverson of Dundee, Florida and Bridget Whitelock and husband, Rick of Beech Mountain, North Carolina; brother, Billy Gene Pugh of Alabama; four grandchildren, Britan Ethridge, Shea Malone-Boyd and husband, Veon, Alyssa Whitelock and Trent Whitelock; and two great grandchildren, Camden and Naomi.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Florida. The family will be receiving friends and family at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, Florida.
