Obituary of Joan McTeer

Joan McTeer, 86, of Haines City, Florida went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2022. She was born on August 25, 1936 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Harold and Lora Clark Heminger. Joan moved to Florida in 1947 from Ohio, was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Haines City, Florida.  

She had a passion for sewing, cooking, and taking care of her family. Joan loved to be with her friends and helping others. In fact, you will always find her doing things for others. She will be remembered for her warm and giving personality who made others feel welcomed and loved.  

Joan is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Steven McTeer. She was followed to heaven two days later by her husband, of 66 years, Louis McTeer. Joan leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Christy Masanow of Gainesville, FL; and her grandson, Joshua Masanow of Gainesville, FL.
