Obituary of Teresa "Terri" LaPietra

Teresa LaPietra, 80, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on July 30, 2022.

Terri met the love of her life, Frank, in grade school and married him in 1964.  They enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage.  She moved to Winter Haven in 1972, which is where she raised her family, attended and became totally involved in St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She was also a member of Planter's Garden Club, Girl Scouts and Junior Achievement.

Terri's mission in life was to serve the Lord by being a devoted wife, mother and loving friend to everyone.  She truly rejoiced in the Lord every day by serving others.  She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Terri is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Elizabeth Casey; brothers, Pat and Dan Casey; sister, Nancy Steil.  She is survived by her loving husband, Frank; daughters, Elizabeth DeWoody and Laura Woodford; son, Pete LaPietra; brother Michael Casey; sister-in-law, Louise Casey; and 7 grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 532 Avenue M NW, Winter Haven at 10:30 AM.  Mass will immediately be followed by interment at Lakeside Memorial Park in Winter Haven.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul in Teresa's name.
