Obituary of Ed Hovious

Ed Hovious, 84, of Winter Haven passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Spring Lake Rehab Center.  

He was born November 19, 1937, in Hustonville, KY and moved here in 1975.  He worked 25 years in the distilling industry and retired from the U.S.D.A.  He loved to fish, spend time with his grandchildren and attend auctions.  He was an avid collector of all things and the biggest fan of University of Kentucky basketball. He is survived by his wife Beverly; three sons, Ron and Kirk of Hawaii and Kent and his wife Dee Dee of Auburndale; a stepson, Doug Driskell of Lake Wales, FL; a brother, Darrell Hovious; Seven grandchildren including Chase and Cami of Auburndale, FL; and several great grandchildren including his precious Charlie Grace.  

The family will receive friends from 10:00am till 11:00am, Tuesday July 5, 2022, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00, with interment following at Lakeside Memorial Park in Winter Haven.
