Obituary of Lori Anne Mansard

Lori Anne (Perdue) Mansard and husband Ashley Randolph Mansard from Port Saint Lucie, Florida were killed in a tragic automobile accident in Polk County, Florida on January 21, 2022. Both were formerly from Terre Haute, Indiana. Lori is survived by her mother Doyne (Akers) Perdue and brother Terry Perdue of Terre Haute as well as her stepson, Grant Mansard (Ashley), stepdaughter, Amanda Mansard Thoeny (Brandon), and grandchildren, Madison and Isabelle, all of Carmel; niece and nephew Jessica Perdue Decker (Ben) and Joshua Perdue (Jenepher), and great niece and nephew Shelby Decker and Brodie Decker. She is preceded in death by her father, Ellsworth Perdue, and her brother, Jeffrey Alan Perdue. Lori was born on December 20, 1964 in Terre Haute as a result of her mother’s prayers for a beautiful brown-eyed and curly haired girl. She was the first daughter of three children. Lori was a shining light of love and positivity, and her smile and laugh were infectious. She brought great joy to all who knew her. Lori and Ashley first met at North Vigo High School, and she later graduated in 1983. They shared a strong faith and led their lives with gratitude. Lori was very spiritual and enjoyed reading about other faiths, afterlife and natural healing. She encouraged her stepchildren to believe in the power of prayer and manifestation for all of God’s blessings. After many years apart, Lori reconnected with her beloved, Ashley, and together they purchased and renovated their dream house in Florida. On October 10, 2020, the two married at the House of Refuge in Jensen Beach, not far from their Port Saint Lucie home. Her close friend, Cathy Furr, performed an intimate coastal ceremony where the two vowed to love each other for the rest of their lives, through the best and the worst. As a Sagittarius, Lori was incredibly loyal and compassionate. She lived by the words of Luke 17:33, “Those who try to keep their lives will lose them. But those who give up their lives will save them.” Lori pursued a wondrous life and heard the voice of adventure- God’s adventure. She lived in London for a short time and enjoyed traveling, fashion and painting. She adored peacocks and their vibrancy, often using their beautiful blues and purple colors as inspiration. Through tribulations and success, Lori persevered with strength and grace. She previously owned her own real estate business and enjoyed working as a Mortgage Loan Assistant. Lori was an avid volunteer for an equine rescue organization where she enjoyed giving back to Mother Earth. May we always be reminded of her loving spirit and enduring optimism. Farewell to our mother, friend and sister. Until we meet again.
