Obituary of Hazel Ann Wimberly

Hazel Ann Elmore Wimberly, 80, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Born June 18, 1943, to Luther E. and Annie Baxter Elmore in Malone, FL, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a longtime member of the Westwood Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Haven and had worked in retail sales.

She is preceded in death by her husband Calvin Wimberly; her parents; and siblings, Harold E. Land, Lewis A. Elmore and Dorothy C. Land.

She is survived by: a son, Rodney Calvin Wimberly; three daughters, Tammy D. Stone, Lisa C. Thompson and Linda D. (Kent) Powell; two brothers, Mervin C. Land and Terry D. Elmore; eleven grandchildren, Stephanie Ludden, Keith Stone, Rodney Calvin Wimberly, II, Alyssa Wimberly, Coby Moore, Jordan McNair, Garrett McNair, Hailey McNair, Lindzi Waters, Harlee Waters and Kody Waters; and five great grandchildren, Bryce Wimberly, Wyatt Rowland, Cooper Ludden, Carter Ludden and Paislee Johnson.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.  Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale.
